My journey into the world of healthcare began in the corporate realm, where I spent years leading business operations and communications at a large healthcare IT company. It was there that I saw firsthand the complexities and shortcomings of the American healthcare system.

Frustrated with its limitations, I began to explore alternatives. I took control of my health by seeking out naturopaths, chiropractors, and acupuncturists, immersing myself in the world of functional medicine and uncovering a wealth of options that had previously gone unnoticed.

My personal health struggles, coupled with the transformative experiences I had with these practitioners, sparked a desire to blend my love for writing with my newfound passion for holistic health. I realized that my skills could empower those same practitioners to share their unique stories and connect with patients in a meaningful way.
